Dear Kay Brantner: You've received letters, visits and card galore. I have been busily negligent or you'd have one more. This comes from my heart--What no flowers you say? I come to tell you of flowers you've made in life's way. We were so happy when to Spur you and Marie came. You both brightened the Church as a good spring rain. You're kindness, your smile, your influence for good, Set an example of Christian living, whatever one's mood. You sing with the Spirit as to the Lord face to face. Faith is grounded in love as you seek God's grace. As you comment on God's word, it's easy to see, You believe it, and like Him you want your life to be. So do the things the doctor says for you to do. Try always to look up and never be blue. We miss your quiet spirit, your jolly lifestyle, For you show that Christian living beats all by a mile. Now is the chance to fill that yearning to boss, There is not a member that would throw you a loss, But would fulfil your request no matter how small. Why not try it? They would love your requests all. Later when you are stronger and there is some work, I have a sure remedy if any you want to shirk. Just stop with a wince, let frowns take their station, And softly whisper, "Oh my operation!" |
