The State of Texas Know all men by these
Montgomery County presents that I, James W.
Smith of Milam County


of state aforesaid, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars to me in hand by Mrs Susannah Brantner the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain sell and release unto the said Susannah Brantner all my right title and interest in and to a certain tract or parsle of land lying and being situated in the County and State aforesaid north of Lake Creek known as the W. B. D. Smith Survey containing three hundred and twenty acres more or less my interest being a one forth undivided interest in and to the above mentioned tract of land. The said land boundary as follows, on the west by W. Fords Headright Survey, on the south by the Gilbreth Survey, on the north by F. Cook & Laws Survey, on the east by the Arnold Survey together with all and singular the rights and members hereditaments and apurtanances to the same belonging or in anywise incedent or appurtaning to have and to hold all and singular the premises above mentioned unto the said Susannah Brantner, her heirs and assigns forever. And I do hereby bind myself my heirs executors and aministrators to warrant and forever defend all and singular the said premices unto the said Susannah Brantner her heirs and assigns against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof.
