| Calvin Robert and three siblings went with their widowed father to Texas and are in
the 1870 Census for Leon County, which is adjacent to Robertson County, where presumably, father
Alfred died about 1873. Sister Martha A. was probably married by then. Brothers George and
Calvin would have been 14 and 12, and no trace of them is found until we find Calvin, 21 marrying Emily
Sue Brantner, 15, in Robertson County in 1882.
Calvin and Emily remained in Robertson County through the 1900 Census and six of their children were born in the interim. William Reed, the last child was born in January 1901, six months after the 1900 Census, presumably in Robertson County also. Sometime after that, the family migrated to Stephens County. |

died 2 Nov 1959 in Ranger, Eastland, TX, also buried Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Children:
Oval E., Lula, Vertis.
Lettie's Hodges parents and two siblings are buried in the S.C.S. Ellis Cemetery in Stephens Co., TX. Lettie's mother, Sarah Ellen Ellis is the daughter of S.C.S. Ellis and wife Zillie E. Ellis. |
| Reba was still living with her parents in the 1920 Census and served as Postmistress at Wayland in
1922. She married Leslie E. Greenlee about 4 Sep 1924 in Stephens County, Texas, the date of her
name change as Postmistress at Wayland. Daughter Georgia Ruth Greenlee, only child, married Virgil Brantley.
Leslie (11 Dec 1895 - 25 Dec 1969, Abernathy IOOF Cemetery) is the son of David Clarence Greenlee & Hannah Carolyn "Carrie" Lisenbee. See David Greenlee Obituary. |
