Webster County was established April 6, 1874, under the name of Sumner County. Its name was changed to Webster by act of Jan. 30, 1889, in honor of the great statesman Daniel Webster. It is carved from Choctaw County, the part north of the Big Black River, and from part of Montgomery County.
David's wife, Martha, age 71, was living with daughter Augusta and Luther Lamb in 1900 in Webster MS. She was not there in 1910. Her burial place is unknown, perhaps in TX.
David Webster married (11 Jan 1872 in MS) Sarah de Shazo, born 9 Aug 1853.
Alexander married (1) Amanda Emeline Pollan, born 11 Jun 1861, & (2) Mary Rosanna Pollan, born 30 Sep 1855.
