| Kay Brantner's middle name: My best guess is changing from "Parrak" to "Parrack."
I'm not even sure he knew the intended spelling. Parrak, on his WW II draft card, has
been my only evidence (and that could be the registrar's notion of the spoken name). His
oldest sister once told me that Kay was named for someone in Robertson County that
Ambrose thought well of. After years of research, my "preponderance of the evidence"
suggests he was named for the Parrack family, an allied kindred in Robertson County.
Both spellings will be scattered throughout this site, as changing the many occurrences will necessarily be gradual. |
