| Nancy's Berry children:
Robert F. and Jeannette Berry were in the household of their uncle Johnson Smith in 1870. Jeannette, born about 1858-59 seems to be another child, born between Mary and Angeline. Angeline Berry is not accounted for in 1870, but she had left the household of uncle William J.& aunt Martha by 1877, being "of age." In an 1877 letter, William "Bill" seems to be head of household with his mother, Martha. He says that Angeline is on her own. She married J. C. Clark on 29 Sep 1878 in Tallahatchie County. Carey W. Berry was in his uncle William J. and Martha's household in 1870, and in the 1880 household of his sister, Angeline and J. C. Clark. |
