Lige and Bessie were in Freestone in 1910 and in Fisher in 1920 when Bessie died. About 1921/22 Lige marrried Nancy Pearly Strickland. They were in Dawson County in 1930 with six children (his, hers, theirs). |
| Ira Elmo married Maggie Lou Ann Lee 22 Dec 1905 in Palestine, Anderson, TX. She born 5 Jun 1888 in Navarro County, TX and died 27 Dec 1967 in Sweetwater, Nolan, TX. They were in Navarro in 1910, in Freestone with her parents in 1920, in Fisher in 1940. Maggie was informant on his death certificate and reported that his parents were R. J. Garrett and Ann Childress. According to her death certificate, her father was W. H. Lee and her mother was Isabell Shanks, per Mrs. Ben Clark, daughter and informant (William H. and Isabella). They have a double marker in Belvieu Cemetery, Rotan. Ira is "Ira Elmore" on his WW I Draft registration, but I have attributed this one occurrance found to clerk error. |
