| Mary Elizabeth married George Washington Burson. He was born 27 Jul 1833 in Washington
County, Arkansas and died 20 Aug 1882 in Houston County, Texas - also buried in Davis Cemetery.
Two Burson children, Miles Samuel, 18 and Mollie, 15 were with their aunt Emily Ann Garrett
in 1880, while Mary L. Burson 15 was with her Matthews grandparents in 1880. I've assumed one
daughter, Mary L. "Mollie Burson, as double countings were not uncommon.
Miles Samuel was born 22 Aug 1861 in Texas and died 12 Mar 1929 in San Marcos, Hays, Texas. He married Susan L. Burks 21 Jul 1887 in Houston County. Miles was a telegraph operator, and in 1900 they were boarders in the Martha Cross household in Troupe, Smith, Texas. They had been married 13 years, with one child not living. Mary Elizabeth, G. W., Miles, and Susan are buried in Davis Cemetery, Houston County, TX. |
