| From 1845 on, Wiley's children were born in Mississippi, presumably in Chickasaw County,
where Wiley responded to the 1850 Census in September (with five of their eventual eight children).
In 1860, the Wiley Embry family was in Calhoun County, that joined Chickasaw on the west, and which joins Webster on the north. Son William B. had left home, but the remaining children were still at home, except that Jailey W., who would be ten, is not in the household. Jailey was obviously the namesake of her Aunt Jailey Woods Embry. |
| William Brittain died after sons Wiley A (1861 and John W B (1863) were born and before the September 1870 Census in Choctaw County, Mississippi. In 1880, Sarah, 42 was in the household of her singls son, Wiley A., 19, in Calhoun County, Mississippi with his siblings, Mary J. "Mollie" and John W. B. |
