We know by the birth places of the various children that the William Bolen family spent time in Georgia. Daughter Mary was married there in 1840, but she and W. P. soon went to Alabama where their first three children were born. They seemingly went to Upshur County, TX during the 1848-50 period. 1850 Census TX Upshur Dec 11: W.B. Cox 50 SC, M.
